What do I enjoy most about tutoring?😁

Instead of using the word ‘like’, it would be more better to describe like I am really looking forward to gaining more tutoring experience since teaching students fosters me to better interact with others and think from other’s perspectives ( being considerate). Besides, I observed the situation of students not able to catch up the learning schedule due to the pandemic, which is ubiquitous within Hong Kong, therefore, I would like to use my own knowledge and passion to help these needed students and improve their academic performance

My Strengths as Tutor💪

Though I have few tutoring experience, I have been taught by some popular and rich- experienced tutors in large tutoring centre in order to prepare for the HKDSE exam. Therefore, I am familiar with the teaching procedures and more likely to handle better some unexpected outcomes. Besides, I can learn from my previous tutors about the methods of delivering well the messages and knowledge to my tutors

Most important things I can do for a student🏅

In my opinion , the most urgent and important task a tutor should accomplish is helping students to build confidence of learning, conveying the message that exam and quizzes are not so terrifying anymore once they have learnt specific studying tips, which allows them to learn both effectively and efficiently. In this way, students are able to be motivated to study with self- discipline, allowing them to enhance their competitiveness by broadening their horizons

About Me

Currently studying logistics at HK PolyU, which helps me to acquire knowledge of transport and logistics within the framework of international trade. The course also encourage students to achieve open communication and effective leadership, therefore I would like to become more interactive and circumspect via teaching others I would say I am a hard-working and self-disciplined person. I am pretty sure that I will do my best to give my tutors the best learning experience.

One of my most memorable tutoring experience is that a certain student is good are Maths, but perform poorly in Chinese and English Language . Since I was not familiar about him like his strength and weakness during first few days, I failed to notice his problem with Maths. However, I never gave up and continue to address the issue with different kind of question types. After two tutoring lessons, I finally discover the problem that the students fail to figure out how to get high mark in Paper 1 ( Reading Comprehension), he just follow the primary school’s rubrics of simply copying all the stuff from the text to answer the questions. In order to raise his consciousness of tackling paper 1, not only I offer him lots of exercises, but also teach him how to answer accurately based on the clues from the question.
