Academy withdraws pupils from A-level exams over poor mocks

By ITS Education Asia

This article from the BBC highlights a problem faced not only by students in prestigious schools in the UK but also many of the top schools in Hong Kong. Many fee-paying schools sell themselves to parents on the basis of their grade average and therefore do not wish students to think they will not achieve top results in exams at the school.

It is a terrible practice but one that we at ITS are familiar with. The worst thing is that many students do not need A* level grades to progress to the next academic level. Students with B/C averages can still get into a wide variety of university courses.

If your child has something like this happen to them then contact us for a free consultation at ITS and we can advise you on your options.
