Coronavirus outbreak - Teddy bear hunt helps distract kids under lockdown

By ITS Education Asia

In these difficult times it is always nice to see a positive news story about how people are trying to help each other, especially children. This article from the BBC website is talking about efforts to encourage a mass Teddy bear hunt!

A mass teddy bear hunt is under way around the world to help distract the millions of children locked down because of the coronavirus pandemic. Stuffed toys are being placed in windows to give children a fun and safe activity while walking around their neighborhood with parents.

The hunt is inspired by the children’s book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, written by UK author Michael Rosen. Teddies have been spotted around the world, including in the UK and US.

This is a bit difficult for Hong Kong people to participate in given that most of us live in high rise apartments, but we at ChalkFace thinks it is a great idea and say thank you to all that are helping bring some fun and happiness to children (I bet the teddy’s are enjoying it also).
