Manish Singh of TechCrunch reported that Facebook has partnered with the Central Boards of Secondary Education of India, a government body that oversees education in private and public schools in India, to launch a certified curriculum on digital safety and online well-being, and augmented reality for students and educators in the country.
They are not the only tech giant moving into this market. Google, which is also partnered with CBSE, is planning to invest $10 billion in India and will train 1 million teachers in India with free tools such as G suite for Education, Google classroom, and YouTube to digitalise education in India.
Yet further developments to the ongoing conversation about who delivers education and how in the modern world.
