Brigitte Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, is returning to the classroom. Macron, a former French literature teacher retired in 2015 to support her spouse’s political endeavors.
She has recently announced the opening of an adult education center in the quarter of Clichy-sous-Bois, a lower income area in Paris. The focus of the centre is to provide assistance to job seekers and high school dropouts between the ages of 25 and 48.
The 66-year-old First Lady said her return to teaching aimed to "show that any age, you can start a new career."
