Girls' education in Malawi, as seen by a Hong Kong photographer

By ITS Education Asia

Malawi, in northwest Africa, is one of the world’s least-developed countries, with a GDP of just US$350 per capita. Half of the population live below the poverty line, with the average family earning less than US$2 a day. Hong Kong photographer Ko Chung-Ming went to Malawi with Oxfam and Girls Empowerment Network to investigate the state of girls’ education in the country.

The photographic collection in this article is an amazing insight into girls’ education in this very poor country.

Thank you Ko Chung-Ming for sharing these amazing photos with us all.
