Hong Kong gains 3 of the "Top Ten" rankings for Universities in the Asia Pacific region

Tsinghua University takes top spot from National University of Singapore in the most recent Times Higher Education Asia-Pacific university rankings. Hong Kong universities represent 3 of the top 10 places. The University of Hong Kong is number 36 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019.

The top 10 (for the Asia-Pacific region) were:

1. Tsinghua University
2. National University of Singapore
3. University of Melbourne
4. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
5. University of Hong Kong
6. Peking University
7. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
8. Australian National University
9. Chinese University of Hong Kong
10. The University of Tokyo
