Five secondary school students representing Hong Kong have won five silver medals at the 50th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, Secretary for Education of the HKSAR government, congratulated the Hong Kong contenders on their performance, saying that results showed their potential in physics.
The IPhO aims at nurturing students who are talented in physics, as well as promoting physics education and enhancing contacts and cooperation among scientists all over the world.
Congratulations to all those involved. An impressive effort from young Hong Kongers.
