A very interesting article published recently in the SCMP looks at some of the factors that parents should consider when seeking the right Mandarin tutor for their child. The article suggests that the main factor for students is that “it is vital to have a Mandarin tutor who makes classes engaging and interesting.” It goes on to conclude “A good tutor also needs a pleasant personality as well as a passion for teaching. Students are always attracted to teachers with a good attitude as this leads to better communication, understanding and, ultimately, good results.”
