Anyone working in the Hong Kong education sector knows how many young people (and their parents) wish them to study medicine. So it was with interest that we saw this article about a record number of 23,710 students who have applied to study medicine at UK universities next September.
The latest figures from the admissions service UCAS show a 6% increase in the number of people applying for a degree in medicine, compared to last year.
This suggests that those students from Hong Kong that wish to study medicine in the UK are going to find it even more competitive than in the past.
