Olympic Medalist has sights on an Ivy League education

By ITS Education Asia

Chloe Kim, an American-Korean Olympian gold medalist in snowboarding, became the youngest woman ever to win an Olympic gold medal in the halfpipe competition at the age of 17.

Beginning next fall, Kim will join Princeton University’s Class of 2023.

Not only is Miss Kim jibbing the concept of a female snowboarder, she is also changing the concept that snowboarders are all powder adrenaline junkies looking for that ever-lasting ride. She is a great example of a person who has attained not only a gold medal but also acceptance into a top Ivy League school in the US.

Kim says her sports and educational goals go hand-in-hand. “It’s all about progressing the sport and also pushing myself,” she said. “To see what I can do, and how far I can go.”
