Poorer London pupils still win race to university

It is a fairly well-known fact that children from wealthy backgrounds tend to have a better chance of making it to university than those from more finically disadvantaged backgrounds, so it was very interesting to see this article from the BBC highlighting the fact that where a person lives is an even a greater advantage or barrier than economic background.

Disadvantaged young people in inner-London are more likely to go to university than wealthier youngsters outside the capital, according to official figures.
