Sexist children books removed from Spanish school

By ITS Education Asia

Several schools in Barcelona are considering “removing ‘highly stereotypical and sexist” books from their libraries following the removal of nearly 200 such titles from another school.

The UK has a similar plan, with a campaign, called “Let Books Be Books,” promoting an end to books with gendered titles. The campaign has already gotten 11 publishers to remove “for boys” and “for girls” from book covers.
