A very interesting article recently published in the Guardian discusses the mental health issues associated with undue exam pressure. The issues raised seem equally relevant to senior students anywhere who face exam pressure, where their future lives and careers may be determined by the results.

Is it simply the case that exam pressure helps prepare students for a life in a competitive workforce, or should exams be phased out in favour of greater use of internal assessments, a method of assessing students’ abilities that is associated with less stress?

What do you think?
