Staying true to its Canadian roots, Canadian International School of Hong Kong likes to roll out the red carpet when the school welcomes guests to its Aberdeen campus. And the last few months, the school has hosted some key dignitaries.
The Federal Chancellor of Austria
His Excellency the Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, Mr. Sebastian Kurz learned first-hand about the innovative teaching and learning taking place at CDNIS in August. Accompanied by numerous Ministers and prominent Austrian business leaders, the Federal Chancellor witnessed how CDNIS incorporates technology into its programme. He observed a reading lesson with iPads, the use of digital portfolios, and the Chinese Studies Departments e-book programme. He visited a session focused on robotics, before moving into the school’s Design Studio where students demonstrated how they use iPad Pros, 3D printers, laser cutters and Virtual Reality headsets as part of their learning.
