We suppose it is of little surprise that many parents in the UK are currently taking their children out of school with the pandemic raging there. This however is of great deal of concern regarding those children’s longer term education and the consequences of school withdrawal. (BBC)
The Local Government Association says some areas have seen significant rises in registrations for home schooling. It comes after separate LGA analysis for 2018-19 suggested between 250,000 and a million children in England were out of full-time school.
Certainly we will see significant societal changes. It remains to be seen whether these tend to be beneficial or not.
