UK unis making payments to staff who have registered misconduct complaints

By ITS Education Asia

In just two years, universities in the UK have spent nearly 90 million pounds in “gagging orders,” which has led to allegations that the universities are using this money to pay off staff and prevent these employees from airing grievances. A number of academics told the BBC that they were forced to sign theses NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) after being forced out of their jobs after bringing up allegations of bullying, discrimination and sexual misconduct.

In the current atmosphere of school students around the world facing serious, life-changing incidents of bullying themselves, this is very worrying news, indeed.
