For a while now international university students to the UK have been caught up in a somewhat negative government immigration policy/approach such as including them in immigration numbers to be reduced and removing the right to work post-graduation. However, there seems to be some good news for international students needing visas to study in the UK(BBC).
 
The Independent Schools Council has released 2018 A-level, IB and GCSE results which may be a useful benchmark for international schools and parents alike (ISC infographics).
 
A study in the US reports on how high temperatures negatively impact test scores using data from the US and China. With global warming set to increase summer temperatures when most school systems have exam sessions, it may be time to rethink the academic year as a more cost-effective and environmentally-favourable approach compared to air-conditioning in schools (Washington Post).
