The original meaning for a private candidate described a student who would sit an exam at a school without being enrolled there as a full time student. As ITS is a registered Edexcel exams centre, we are able to welcome private candidates to sit their exam with us for the IGCSE or the international a level. From then, we discovered that there is a high demand for a “school” where these private candidates could go and learn without having to self-study the materials in their own time.
