Where there's a will, there's a way

Here is a very inspiring article about three HK students who overcame adversity to achieve success in this year’s DSE exam.

Tse Sze Nab suffers from severely impaired vision, unable to be corrected through lenses. Despite her difficulties, she received 5** for Chinese, Liberal Studies, and Economics, and 5* for Business Studies, Accounting, Financial Studies, and Chinese History.

Daisy Kwok has hypotonia, a condition that results in muscle weakness. Daisy’s hypotonia makes it difficult for her to hold a pen for a long time and write quickly, making it difficult to complete examinations within the appropriate time. Despite not attaining her desired results she will continue to pursue an associate’s degree in human resources from Polytechnic University’s Hong Kong Community College, with aims to get a “top up” degree later.

Tan Xiao-xia, 22, who is wheelchair-bound and suffers from cerebral palsy and a mild intellectual disability, was overjoyed to get a DSE certificate. She is considering taking basic courses at the Caritas Bianchi College of Careers while waiting for her application to the Vocational Training Council schools.

Congratulations to all!
