Young Australians' excessive mobile phone use forming horn-like skull bone growth

By ITS Education Asia

Nine.com.au reports that phone usage among young people is having an unintended consequence — a new bone growth. It is easy to believe that if this problem is occurring in Australian youth from excessive use of mobile phones, then Hong Kong youth are likely to be experiencing the same effect.

The bone growth is hypothetically being caused by the bad posture of people walking along and looking down at their phones. The additional bone is growing as our bodies try to adapt to this very bad posture.

The article does not identify any negative health consequences of this additional bone growth in young people, but it does appear to be a cause of concern and something parents should be aware of.

How to deal with the causes of this problem is another thing.
