The May 2027 TOK prescribed titles have now been released. To help students make a strong start, we are launching a series of masterclasses dedicated to breaking down each title in depth.
This first session focuses on Title 5 — In the production of knowledge, when choosing one explanation over another, to what extent should simplicity be prioritized? Discuss with reference to two areas of knowledge.
Led by Jeremy Sampson (PhD, Philosophy & Literary History; 20+ years TOK teaching).
In this session, Dr. Jeremy Sampson will:
- Guide you through a close reading of the title
- Unpack its key terms
- Explore what a high-scoring response looks like.
