Globify

About Me

Rachel is a Y12 IBDP student from King George V Hong Kong, with keen interests in diplomacy, history and the law. Outside the academic fields, she enjoys reading fiction books, in particular, fantasy and mystery, listening to music and writing poetry, all which fuel her creative mind. She actively engages in youth-led initiatives helping to bring the status quo closer to the targets created by the SDGs, but is particularly interested in goal 16, peace and justice, and goal 17, partnership for the goals. Through her experience in leading and participating in youth-led initiatives, her skills in public speaking, project management and organisation have developed significantly to allow her to succeed. She is an active participant in Model United Nations, which was the starting point for her development in interests in diplomacy and global issues.

Project Description

Globify is an extension youth-led project that hopes to unite students not only around the globe, but also within cities. Across the globe, there is a worldwide divide between developed and underdeveloped areas, and this project aim is to empower developed areas to assist in these disparities via collaboration. Moreover, this project hopes to raise awareness over the SDGs, and inspire those who are passionate by showing what other individuals are doing around the globe.
