About Me
I am Melissa Tang, a sixteen year old girl from Hong Kong who was born with profound hearing loss.
Despite this challenge, I have been working very hard to overcome my hearing difficulties. Currently, I
am studying A-level mathematics, history and economics at school, while actively preparing
for university applications. Aside from my academic pursuits, I have a deep passion for art. I have been
painting since I was young and find it to be a great way to express myself creatively.
Project Description
HEAR We Go is an education and support platform dedicated to assisting parents and guardians of
children with hearing issues. The primary objective of this initiative is to contribute to achieving the
SDGs #3, #4, and #10. On the website, I share personal experiences and provide valuable information
about hearing impairment. The platform aims to empower parents to support their hearing-impaired
children and help them attain the best opportunities for learning and development. HEAR We Go strives
to inspire parents to believe in their children's potential and show them that hearing limitations do not
have to hold them back from reaching their full potential in life.
