The BBC reports that next year’s UK exams are unlikely to be cancelled regardless of the situation with the pandemic.
The chaos and protests that followed attempts to produce estimated grades this year make cancellation the new worst option even if public health concerns rise at exam time so all the political signals are for pushing ahead with A-levels and GCSEs.
But after months of lost teaching time there will be modifications and a slimming down of course content and ministers have already proposed a later start date - and an announcement could appear next week.
Chalkface will continue to keep our readers up-to-date on the latest developments with this story. What happens with the UK exams can also have an impact on what happens with International A Levels and GCSEs so whether you study from Hong Kong or in the UK, keep up with the latest.
