The Philosophy Test date will be 20 October 2023. ITS is an authorized TCS centre (#35351). Enrolment is now closed. WE ARE FULL FOR THIS EXAMINATION.
All candidates applying for Philosophy and Theology at the University of Oxford are required to sit the Philosophy Test. You may also need to take other tests depending on exactly which degree you are taking. Check the University of Oxford website.
The Philosophy Test computer-based test and lasts 60 minutes under fully invigilated exam conditions.
It is designed to test a your philosophical reasoning skills and therefore is no expectation that you have done any academic study of philosophy. It is not a test of philosophical knowledge.
You will normally be asked to do a comprehension exercise and write a short essay or answer a structured question. Tutors are looking for the use of precise and careful reasoning to answer the question asked, and particularly answers which anticipate and are able to answer objections to the reasoning given.
The test is now run by Tata Consultancy Services and ITS Education Asia is an authorized centre (#35351) for this test. Exam dates are held each year in October. Candidates can enrol directly with ITS, where we are BOTH the enrolling and examining centre for this test.
