This is an interesting collection of statistical data published by the BBC showing changes over time in what UK people did after they finished their GCSE’s or equivalent. Some copper back to the 1960s others more recent.

1. The number in full-time education has more than doubled
2. Further education college attendance has decreased
3. Until this year, the increase in top GCSE grades was starting to slow
4. Vocational courses are increasing in popularity
