IMPORTANT: On 10th November 2022, Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing announced that BMAT, ENGAA, NSAA and TMUA will be discontinued from 2024.

The purpose of the Natural Science Admissions Assessment is to help to determine a candidate's potential to achieve in an academically demanding undergraduate degree course. Questions will be drawing upon the candidates ability to use and apply scientific and mathematical knowledge. The assessment is designed to be challenging in order to differentiate effectively between able applicants, including those who might have achieved the highest possible grades in school examinations.

The test consists of 2 sections which are an hour each. The total test time is 2 hours. All applicants are required to take the Natural Sciences Admissions Assessment (NSAA) at an authorised centre for which you must be registered in advance. It is required for all applicants to take the NSAA test in order to study Natural Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge.

The test is run by Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing (CAAT) and ITS Education Asia is an open centre (#HK109). This means that any candidate may enrol to sit this test with us, whether or not they are enrolled as an ITS student.

*Notes:

  1. No seat reservations can be made for these enrolments. Potential candidates must ensure that all required information has been written on enrolment forms for this to be processed. This includes a valid, accessible email address and UCAS ID.
  2. You do not need UCAS ID if you are either using the test for a non-UK university or if your UK university application is not for the academic year following the one in which you take the test.
