What do I enjoy most about tutoring?😁

I like teaching students and helping them learn better. One-on-one teaching can be more effective in a short time since I can focus on the student’s needs and address the student’s weaknesses more precisely. Earning extra money at my free time is another motive to be a home tutor.

About Me

I was a teacher teaching primary students for more than 10 years. I mainly taught English, Maths and GS. I was the panel chair of the English committee for more than 5 years and helped with developing school-based curriculum for my students. I shared my teaching experience and my school’s English curriculum with teachers in the same district during staff development days. After I left school as a frontline teacher, I worked at the EDB as an advisory teacher for 15 years. I am very familiar with the primary English curriculum and various teaching strategies and learning skills. My major duties were supporting the NETs and the English teachers at primary schools to ensure that they delivered their lessons appropriately and maximised students’ learning effectiveness. I also developed workshops for teachers to join to acquire the effective teaching strategies and keep informed of the latest education trends.
