About Malvern College
The school will offer an International Baccalaureate curriculum in an international setting. The majority of the students will have an international background reflecting this vibrant international city as a hub of Asia.
The school will benefit from its unique location by offering experiential learning through Forest School activities and outdoor pursuit sports opportunities. Following the established ethos of Malvern College in the UK, MCHK will place equal emphasis on the personal as well as the academic development of the individual student with a wide range of co-curricular activities. Bringing the benefits of a boarding school environment in the UK to an international school setting in Asia, Malvern College Hong Kong will offer a unique educational experience.
Strong Mathematics and Science combined with emphasis on sports and personal development will bring out the best in our students. Placing equal emphasis on the personal development of students, MCHK will offer a wide range of co-curricular activities as well as a house system for all students. Assigning students to houses will help foster team spirit and enhance students’ sense of belonging, both critical elements in character development and in ensuring a rich and fulfilling school life.
MCHK will launch a scholarship programme for students from socially underprivileged and ethnic minority backgrounds with outstanding academic performance, ensuring high quality international education is accessible to students from various cultural and family backgrounds.
Admissions Process:
Applications will be accepted in September 2016 for admissions in Academic Year 2018-19 for Year 1 through to Year 9.
Admissions policy will be competitive requiring applicants to comply with the entrance criteria. Prospective students will need to pass an entrance assessment which will be conducted in English and involve age appropriate academic and non-academic testing.
Priority will be given to foreign passport holders and will be given to children who cannot access the local school system and who are not already attending a school in Hong Kong.
