About The School

The Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) is a non-profit school and one of the most popular IB schools in Hong Kong. It is known for its outstanding educational achievements, excellent facilities and array of extra-curricular activities. Apart from these extensive features, it has a strong sense of community and the excellent rapport between staff and students are other defining features of the school. CDNIS was the first Apple Distinguished School in Hong Kong and the first to introduce 1:1 laptop programme. From Grade 4 to 12, Mac laptops are compulsory, and students engage in coding, robotics, laser technology and other activities in the innovative MakerSpace.  From Grade 1, students experience hands-on experiential learning in the newly developed, STEM/STEAM facilities. It is the only school to offer students a dual-diploma programme; senior students take both IBDP and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Students in Grades 9 to 12 earn credits towards the OSSD, while in Grade 12, simultaneously completing all credits for the IBDP. CDNIS offer an extensive Sports Programme and is a member of the International Schools Sports Federation Hong Kong (ISSFHK) and the South East Asia Student Activities Conference (SEASAC), and in addition students are engaged in a highly specialized music programme from the choice of drama, choirs, bands and ensembles.
