About The School
Discovery College is one of two Private Independent Schools (PIS) owned by the English Schools Foundation (ESF). Grow. Discover. Dream. This vision statement, created by the College community when the school was founded, recognises Discovery College’s belief that students must be independent, critical and creative thinkers, equipped with the skills, attitudes and values to contribute positively in this complex world in which we live.Discovery College offers a robust and comprehensive IB curriculum, which includes specialist courses in the performing arts and PE from Year 1, sports and outdoor activities also play a major part in the lives of the students. The school’s focus on the arts and sport is an integral part of this school. Students are given the opportunity to rehearse and perform in five drama spaces. There are acoustic music rooms, a recital room, recording and editing booths and a broadcasting suite. There is a compulsory Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) programme for all year groups – some of these are, residential camps, annual off-campus activity weeks, and No Boundaries programme in different Asian countries. A house system brings students together in events such as sports tournaments, battle of the bands, and trivia quizzes.
