Curriculum

Our core curriculum uses the English national Curriculum as preparation for the IGCSE and the IAL. Across all subjects we use the Pearson Edexcel version, and all students complete these courses and sit these exams at ITS Tutorial School. During the covid exam disruptions, we were able to participate in the Centre Assessed Grades scheme and so all students were able to progress with their qualifications intact.

Alongside the core academic curriculum, we offer a range of sustainability related co-curricular programmes. The Young Changemaker Incubator and the UNITAR Youth Ambassador Asia Pacific Programme both mentor our students in developing, founding and leading their own social enterprises with recognition from the United Nations. We are also a member of the SDSN and WFUNA making us one of Hong Kong’s leaders in sustainability education which is all offered through our not-for-profit Foundation.

The combination of personalized learning in the core curriculum and the addition of high profile sustainability options allows us to provide fantastic preparation for university and other further education options – whichever is appropriate for each student. The education at ITS both creates the profile to gain admission and provides the experiences to prepare students more fully for their higher/further education courses.

Inside The School

Parent Reviews

“My daughter completed Grade 4 semester II and Grade 5 semester I with ITS. The learning experience was excellent. The classes were one to one style (one teacher to one student), covering all core subjects of international school curriculum including Math, Science, English, Social Study and Information Literacy. The teachers are very experienced and supportive. The online tools used, interface and connectivity are excellent. She really enjoyed the learning experience.” - Chris Yong

“Excellent & beyond our expectations!!! Our daughter achieved excellence across all her subjects. All the tutors were highly qualified and skilled. ITS is a one stop shop and because they are so focused on long term relationships they have the depth of knowledge needed to craft the winning narrative for the personal statement, guidance on EPQ & continued support for A level subjects. We will continue to trust them on this very important journey” – Ms Shih

“I am a student studying in ITS and they have provided very supportive services for students in need of formal education with personalized situation or needs. They have provided a wide range of educational services including tutorial lessons, taking exams, university applications, counselling, etc. It is highly recommended to study at ITS with students who want to follow an international programme along with clear directions on their curriculum and syllabus.” - SM

Specialist Programmes

Bilingual programmes

We believe that sustainability is the key question for the future. For the planet, for every nation and government, for communities and for every individual. In 2020, ITS launched the Young Changemaker Incubator which mentors high school age teens through identifying social issues and developing solutions. These are registered with the UN and give invaluable experience to the young leaders of tomorrow about how they can be the sustainably minded managers, CEOs and entrepreneurs of the future.

This is so important it led to us founding our not-for-profit Foundation – The ITS Education Asia Foundation. The Foundation continues to run the YCI and is now taking the sustainability education message out to schools with workshops for students, staff and parents. The Foundation has been appointed by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) to run their flagship Youth Ambassador programme across the Asia-Pacific region.

All full-time students and all university admissions candidates automatically receive a taster of the YCI and the chance to join the region’s leading sustainability education ecosystem.

Education Philosophy

Everything we do at ITS is built on two premises. First that personal responsibility is the foundation of everything we do in both our individual and social lives. We take the child away from the overly curated world of mainstream education and give them true independence, making them highly responsible for their learning journey and the way in which they achieve it. Second, and as natural extension of this, that sustainability is the one key need for the future of humanity and our children must become “sustainability natives” right now. They need to step away from the status quo and be empowered to lead the world into a new future that disposes with the ideologies that have created our current crises.

School News and Open Days

Why Choose ITS Education Asia

Everybody is different. But traditional schooling starts from a position that everybody is the same. For most people that is fine, but for many others this means that either school does not maximize their potential, does not provide the best education option for them or completely fails them. From day 1, ITS was set up to address these issues.

All of our classes are conducted 1 on 1. This ensures that each class is tailor-made to the learner’s level and pace of learning and helps to create a sheltered, yet structured, environment in which children can learn to thrive and increase their confidence. There is minimal pressure (e.g. from peers and homework assignments).

We incorporate a more university-styled approach to learning which motivates students to take initiative and responsibility. The goal is to develop good habits that benefit them for life. We offer flexible times which is different from a rigid traditional school day. Students will not miss out on lessons as we can plan and reschedule lessons. We offer official exams under the Edexcel exam board. This allows students to validate their studies by working towards the International GCSE or A-level exams. We are a registered UCAS Centre. Students apply for their targeted UK through the same procedure as a traditional school. We have a dedicated US prep program for those aiming for US universities. We have top-flyer programmes for those aiming for Ivy league, Oxbridge and other world class universities. We are an official CAAT centre for university entrance exams.

Open Days & Seminars

In our alternative tradition, we do not schedule open days. Just make an appointment to come and meet us, have a look around and discuss your particular needs. We are always open because it’s all about you, not us.
