Average IBDP score is 36.4 /45 points which surpasses the global average. In 2022, the average was 38.6 points. The global average score is reported to be 30.24.

Hong Kong students most popular study abroad destination is the UK, followed by Australia, the U.S., and Canada. Less significant numbers of students also study in South Korea, Germany, and Ireland. Applications to Ivy League and top US colleges have skyrocketed since 2019.
